New to dry salt therapy? Start here
Dry salt therapy, or halotherapy, means relaxing in an enclosed space filled with microscopic particles of pure, dry salt. A halogenerator makes those particles by grinding pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride and blowing it into the air. How halotherapy works explains the process and where it came from.
- 1Pick your space. A pop-up tent, a spare room, a salt booth or your sauna. Smaller, sealed spaces hold salt in the air best. Compare layouts in salt therapy room setup.
- 2Match the halogenerator to it. Coverage matters more than anything else: up to 144 sq ft for the Lite Edition, 225 sq ft for the PRO, X and Pink Editions, and the Sauna PRO for heated spaces.
- 3Set it up and keep it dry. Use about a teaspoon of pharmaceutical-grade salt per session, keep humidity below 40–50%, and blow out the fan after each use. Step-by-step help is in the setup instructions.
