Halogenerator vs. salt lamp
Salt lamps and salt walls are decorative. They do not release salt into the air. A halogenerator is active dry salt therapy equipment: it produces the dry salt aerosol that halotherapy is built on.
1. Start with your space
- Pop-up tent or small booth: a compact unit is all you need, and the space can be packed away after each session.
- Home salt room or wellness room: a compact professional unit sized for the room.
- Infrared sauna: a unit that mounts outside the sauna wall rather than inside the heat.

2. Match the unit to the room size
Measure your floor area (length × width). Choose a unit designed for at least that size. The space should be enclosed, with the door closed during sessions, so the salt aerosol stays concentrated.
3. Look at the controls
Adjustable controls let you set how much salt is dispersed for your space and session. In client-facing rooms, a covered control panel keeps guests from changing your settings.
4. Think about upkeep and support
Look for simple salt loading, easy cleaning, a warranty, and a company you can reach when you have questions.
